Arobotech is committed to providing superior quality products to our customers. After final fitting and assembly, every Arobotech Grinding AUTO REST® Steady Rest is vigorously tested for performance. In addition, each Grinding AUTO REST® is shipped with testing documentation showing the results of a 100-cycle repeatability test at 1 micron or less.
Arobotech Grinding AUTO REST® offers standard arm retraction. Retracting the Grinding AUTO REST® Steady Rest arms into the body allows for collision-free part loading and unloading. This feature is especially well suited for automated part loading.

The Arobotech Grinding AUTO REST® Steady Rest comes standard with integrated centerline adjustment. The centerline adjustment feature allows for precise alignment with independent micro adjustment of the centerline in the horizontal and vertical directions. Grinding AUTO REST® centerline adjustment works without having to loosen mounting screws, etc. which saves set up time and allows micron-precision alignment.

All Grinding AUTO REST® Steady Rest models are designed with consideration to the limited amount of space available inside of today's grinding machines. Mounting bases and Grinding AUTO REST® bodies are designed narrow to allow "stacking" on the machine table with gages, additional Grinding AUTO REST®'s, etc. Reverse mount activation cylinder designs are available to minimize overall length.

Arobotech Systems Grinding AUTO REST® Steady Rest clamping motion is achieved by a patented sliding wedge design to achieve the most precise centering accuracy and repeatability available.
A single hydraulic cylinder operates the Arobotech Systems Grinding AUTO REST® Steady Rest. Different functions such as arm retraction, self-centering are determined by the internal design of the Grinding AUTO REST® and require nothing more than a "clamp" or "unclamp" input to the cylinder.
Most Grinding AUTO REST® Steady Rest models are available with standard two axis centerline adjustment. This allows the Grinding AUTO REST® to be accurately aligned by easy to use controls after the steady rest is installed and clamped into place.
With few moving parts the Arobotech Systems Grinding AUTO REST® Steady Rest is not prone to the wear and tear normally associated with products operating in a grinding environment. With proper lubrication and use of the Grinding AUTO REST® air purge system, trouble free performance and long life can be counted on.
The Arobotech Grinding AUTO REST® Steady Rest can be fitted with optional gaging for automatic size control. When table space is limited, a separate gage head or an integrated LVDT can be mounted to the Grinding AUTO REST®. With these gaging options, once the part is ground to finish size the grinding cycle stops.
