Crankshaft Grinding
Some Grinding AUTO REST® models have design features specifically intended for use with crankshaft grinding. These include extended arms, full arm retraction for collision-free part loading and unloading and narrow but rigid arms. As with all Arobotech Systems products, crankshaft Grinding AUTO REST® also feature micron-accurate centering accuracy, follow down ability and integrated horizontal and vertical centerline adjustment to guaranty ideal control of size, roundness and runout.
Standard Grinding AUTO REST® products are available for most automotive crankshaft grinding applications. Arobotech Systems' many years of experience enables us to offer the best model and contact geometry for optimum results.
Grinding a large crankshaft requires a much stronger steady rest with the same precision as automotive crankshaft grinding. Through years of experience, Arobotech Systems has developed Grinding AUTO REST® products with the strength to support very large crankshafts while maintaining the centering accuracy, repeatability and follow down ability required for excellent part quality.
In addition to accurate self-centering, repeatability, and follow down ability, Arobotech Systems has developed contact geometry to make the Grinding AUTO REST® well suited for machines that grind crankshaft main journals and crank pins in one set up.
